Bereavement Support
If you’re struggling with the loss of a loved one, you don’t have to struggle alone.
Grieving is part of the normal healing process, but it can be hard work. And everyone’s experience is different.
Bereavement Support gives you the opportunity to talk about your loss in a safe, non-judgmental space. You can learn about the grieving process and give yourself the space to understand, process and acknowledge the changes that your loss has brought to your life.
This program is offered free of charge through the generosity of our volunteers, funders and donors.
How You’re Supported
You’ll meet with one of our professional staff members, and together we will determine the services that work best for you, whether that is a support group, or one-to-one support with a staff member or volunteer.
Our volunteers have experienced a significant loss of their own. Through their lived experience and our comprehensive bereavement training program, they are equipped to provide compassionate, peer support while recognizing that every person’s experience of grief is unique.
Your support sessions can take place in your home or in another place in the community where you feel comfortable. All sessions are completely confidential.
